Listen to what feels right when you stop over-thinking things. Do and trust in what just feels right for you, not what you think others will approve of. It is then you can live a life harmoniously with yourself and with those whom you love and have respect for.
As my yoga teacher says over again, “If they mind, then they don’t matter…If they matter, they don’t mind!”
This applies towards how your loved ones perceive you as you are. Do they “mind” how you act, speak and do things– today.. and even from your past? What do they think? Well, read the quote again…”If they mind, then they don’t matter…If they matter, they don’t mind!”
At the end of the day, the most valuable gift is acceptance. No judgement. Just acceptance + compassion.
